I once tried to construct you

 

I drugged you up

from my rib

and melded you into

the perfect species

 

You were so ripe

so full of passion

it had almost

consumed me

 

A consummated sculpture

that’s what you were darling

and yet I was

inept to your repulsions

 

You turned on me

 

That amour quickly

changed into something

terrifying

it was simply awful

 

White spilling into crimson

I was drowning in your sorrows

crying

crying

 

I had only wanted to see you

to touch your cheek

whisper dear nothings

along the shell of your ear

 

But you dismantled me
